Everyone deserves access to better health. That includes being able to actually use our website, regardless of ability, device, or how you browse.

Pure Health Max is committed to digital accessibility. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing practice, not a checkbox.

What we've built in

Our store includes the following accessibility features:

Keyboard navigation
Every interactive element can be reached and operated using only a keyboard, in a logical order.
Visible focus indicators
Clear focus rings show exactly where you are on the page when tabbing through.
Screen reader support
Semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and descriptive alt text for meaningful images throughout.
Strong color contrast
Text meets or exceeds the 4.5:1 contrast ratio against backgrounds across the site.
Resizable text
Content remains readable and functional when text is enlarged up to 200%.
Reduced motion support
All animations respect your device's "reduce motion" setting and switch off automatically.
Mobile accessibility
Touch targets meet the 44×44px minimum, with proper spacing to prevent mis-taps.
Clear structure
Proper heading hierarchy and landmarks so assistive tech can navigate by section.

Standards we follow

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA, our target conformance level across all pages
  • ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), applicable accessibility requirements for US e-commerce
  • Section 508, where applicable

Where we're still improving

Accessibility is never "done." Known areas we're actively working on:

  • Some older product images are still receiving improved alt text descriptions
  • Third-party apps embedded in our store (reviews, subscriptions) may not fully meet our standards. We pressure our vendors and replace tools when they fall short
  • PDF downloads (like our printable cards) are being remediated for screen reader compatibility

Browser and assistive technology compatibility

Our store is tested with recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, in combination with:

  • VoiceOver (macOS and iOS)
  • NVDA and JAWS (Windows)
  • TalkBack (Android)
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Browser zoom up to 200%
